BUILDING THE PITCH PARAGRAPH (PART ONE) Step 1: identify the plot catalyst. In this paragraph, the plot element that will launch the story forward is that Gigi would like a divorce so she can remarry and Camden makes an outrageous proposal in exchange for granting it. This does indeed happen in the first 30 pages of the novel. Step 2: Now let’s analyze the rest of theparagraph.
