COVID-19, SPRING BREAK & ST. PATRICK The Coronavirus is on the rampage. In the past week we've seen it turn the world upside down. At the time of this writing, schools have shut down across the nation, sports and large events have been canceled, and half our states have shut down restaurants. The apartment and neighborhood he selected looks very nice from the photos we’ve seen online and the descriptions from Carson. In many ways it feels like yesterday, and on the other hand I remember thinking in 1996 that a lifetime of responsibility had just begun. GREETINGS FROM NASHVILLE White Christmas! CHATTANOOGA
Rachel and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary this weekend in Chattanooga. We rented an apartment attached to a downtown home near the Tennessee River. It was a relaxing few days of good restaurants, scenic walks, and a trip to the Hunter Museum of American Art. We spent our first night as a married coupleUNCLE LARRY

FATHER’S DAY
We have enjoyed our week with Sharon. Rachel is healing well and, in fact, was able to eat at a restaurant yesterday. We had dinner a Phat Bites, a unique deli across the street from McNamara's. TENNESSEE TORNADO
Posted on March 7, 2020by
headwaves
March “came in like a lion” here in Nashville, but under very unusual circumstances. We all went to sleep Monday night and woke up Tuesday morning to the aftermath of a deadly 165-mph tornado that swept through our neighborhood. The tornado was 800 yards wide and tore through Germantown, East Nashville, Donelson, Hermitage, Mt. Juliet, Lebanon, and beyond. Before it was over the storm had spawned 6 different tornadoes in Middle Tennessee and left 25 dead. Businesses, homes, and schools were destroyed. We were fortunate that none of our family or friends were impacted. At least 15 of our advertising clients’ businesses have been shut down, some of them demolished. Mother Nature is brutal. This comes 10 years after the2010 flood.

JIVE TURKEY
Posted on February 14, 2020by headwaves
A few weeks ago this turkey took up residence on our back patio. In the past, we’ve seen a flock (or rafter) of turkeys in the neighborhood, but this was a first time we’ve seen one get so comfortable and close to the house. Next time we’re eating him! Posted in Uncategorized| Leave a

FUN IN FAIRFAX

I visited Michelle, Kat, and Dani for a long weekend. Michelle and I toured 3 museums on Saturday… The Holocaust Museum, Native American Museum, and the Hirshhorn Museum of Modern Art. We went to a few good restaurants and Michelle cooked a great Salmon and broccoli meal for us… and we watched Danica’s basketball game on Sunday. Fun times in Fairfax and D.C. Thanks ladies — great visit! Posted in Uncategorized| Leave a
