SPARK PLUG - NGK LMAR8A-9 VS LMAR8A-9S - YAMAHA FZ-07 The manual calls for NGK/LMAR8A-9. The plugs that they sold me at the dealership have a part number of LMAR8A-9S. So basically the same part number with the exception of the S tacked on the end. The box that the spark plug comes in actually says Honda on it too. I asked the guy at the dealership if they were right, and he claims that they are.'18 MT07 ABS ISSUE
So Ive been testing the ABS(first bike Ive owned with ABS) since I aquired this bike two weeks ago and Ive noticed a quirk with the rear brake during heavy braking. When just applying the rear brake with decent pressure the rear brake pedal stutters/clunks. It only last a split second. It literal FZ-07 ADVICE/LIFE EXPECTANCY Ill also add that as miles accumulate the steering stem bearings will wear in/set and loosen up a little. Thatll lead to the steering becoming easier and requiring less force. Some MX guys like to tighten the bearings a little more to act as a pseudo steering damper and thusminimize the front

Has anyone else noticed how much drag there is on our clutch. When I put the bike in first gear from neutral the bike really jumps forward with quite a lurch. Also I noticed it shifts pretty stiffly up and down but more so down shifting. At first when it was new I dismissed this as just needing bMT 07 TIRE PRESSURE
Sally's KTM 690 Duke recommended was 32/34 manual and handled best at 28/28 on the road. But for loaded touring she ended up with 34/40 ( no pillion). My old BMW F800R had the same size tyres and the 07 ( weighed 40kg more and had another 20HP) . It ran 32f/36r psi unloaded for best feel and 38/42 loaded.TIRE PRESSURE

The longest pole in my tent seems to be the Yamaha Diagnostic Tool (90890-03252). I see some promising candidates on eBay for under $100NGK SPARK PLUGS

I've been running it for years in my DRZ 435cc hi comp. dual sport with FORK DIS-ASSEMBLY AND REPLACING SEALS 0:00 / 7:56. Live. •. Loosen top triple-clamp pinch bolts. Loosen fork cap up to 1 turn. Remove from bike. Put brake caliper ears in a vice. Take a ratchet strap and loop it around fork cap and hook onto caliper ears, apply ~2 inches of compression to spring. Unscrew boltwith a

WHICH MAP TO FLASH?
I recently bought a used 2016 FZ-07 with an aftermarket Voodoo performance full exhaust already installed. Ive just ordered a ftecu from 2wdw and was wondering if anyone could suggest a particular map to flash the ecu with my setup? PROJECT FZ SUPERTWIN The lower fairing is mounted. I shimmed a length of steel square tubing under the tires to help align the fairing side to side and measure ground clearance. Ground clearance is 5.375" in the front and 5.5" in the rear. Close ups of how the front is attached and the left attachment point for the rear. HOW TO: COOLANT FLUSH AND CHANGE This is a short how-to on flushing your cooling system and replacing the coolant. I used Engine Ice, a propylene glycol-based coolant, but the manual calls for a "high quality ethylene glycol coolant safe for aluminum engines". Note: this procedure should be done on a day above freezing temperature to avoid the coolant flush from freezing in your engine and cooling system. WHAT OCTANE GASOLINE TO USE ? Plenty are reporting no problems using 87 octane fuel. This bike is fairly low compression and has a mild tune so pinging shouldn't be an issue on a stock bike. How do you figure that 11.5 to 1 is "fairly low compression". Because it is. A 2015 YZ250F has a 13.5:1 compression ratio and will run on 91 octane pump gas. He LED SMALL LIGHT UNDER HEADLIGHT Yes state law usually doesn't allow for anything other then white or yellow up front. ryan4130 is correct though the headlight (cyclops3800) completely drowns out the blue. Not an issue. Its just a cool runner light when the bike isnt fired up. Undoubtedly you'll get a different outcome with the much weaker stock light. DYNOJET POWERVISION 3 Conclusion: The Ftecu software is unbelievably lacking compared to the Power Vision 3 (shown below). The only edge that FTecu has is the availability of plug-n-play maps from named vendors. The PV3 is too new yet and has a limited base tune database. This is screenshot of the FTecu software, as many have already seen. SECOND SET OF WHEELS Tried the RG one on revzilla and it wouldnt fit without bending the metal, so I returned it. How do you figure that 11.5 to 1 is "fairly low compression". Because it is. A 2015 YZ250F has a 13.5:1 compression ratio and will run on 91 octane pump gas. IDLE SPEED ADJUSTMENT Quote. I recently bought a used 2016 FZ-07 with an aftermarket Voodoo performance full exhaust already installed. Ive just ordered a ftecu from 2wdw and was wondering if anyone could suggest a particular map to flash the ecu with my setup?CLUTCH DRAG
Has anyone else noticed how much drag there is on our clutch. When I put the bike in first gear from neutral the bike really jumps forward with quite a lurch. Also I noticed it shifts pretty stiffly up and down but more so down shifting. At first when it was new I dismissed this as just needing b SPARK PLUG - NGK LMAR8A-9 VS LMAR8A-9S - YAMAHA FZ-07 The manual calls for NGK/LMAR8A-9. The plugs that they sold me at the dealership have a part number of LMAR8A-9S. So basically the same part number with the exception of the S tacked on the end. The box that the spark plug comes in actually says Honda on it too. I asked the guy at the dealership if they were right, and he claims that they are. HOW TO: COOLANT FLUSH AND CHANGE This is a short how-to on flushing your cooling system and replacing the coolant. I used Engine Ice, a propylene glycol-based coolant, but the manual calls for a "high quality ethylene glycol coolant safe for aluminum engines". Note: this procedure should be done on a day above freezing temperature to avoid the coolant flush from freezing in your engine and cooling system.TIRE PRESSURE

Due to some confusion over the NGK plug numbers, Ive starting a new thread. I emailed NGK to ask specifically about the difference between the specified plug LMAR8A-9 and a version with an S suffix LMAR8A-9S. This was tech supports reply. He LED SMALL LIGHT UNDER HEADLIGHT Yes state law usually doesn't allow for anything other then white or yellow up front. ryan4130 is correct though the headlight (cyclops3800) completely drowns out the blue. Not an issue. Its just a cool runner light when the bike isnt fired up. Undoubtedly you'll get a different outcome with the much weaker stock light. Has anyone else noticed how much drag there is on our clutch. When I put the bike in first gear from neutral the bike really jumps forward with quite a lurch. Also I noticed it shifts pretty stiffly up and down but more so down shifting. At first when it was new I dismissed this as just needing b SPARK PLUG - NGK LMAR8A-9 VS LMAR8A-9S - YAMAHA FZ-07 The manual calls for NGK/LMAR8A-9. The plugs that they sold me at the dealership have a part number of LMAR8A-9S. So basically the same part number with the exception of the S tacked on the end. The box that the spark plug comes in actually says Honda on it too. I asked the guy at the dealership if they were right, and he claims that they are. HOW TO: COOLANT FLUSH AND CHANGE This is a short how-to on flushing your cooling system and replacing the coolant. I used Engine Ice, a propylene glycol-based coolant, but the manual calls for a "high quality ethylene glycol coolant safe for aluminum engines". Note: this procedure should be done on a day above freezing temperature to avoid the coolant flush from freezing in your engine and cooling system.TIRE PRESSURE

Due to some confusion over the NGK plug numbers, Ive starting a new thread. I emailed NGK to ask specifically about the difference between the specified plug LMAR8A-9 and a version with an S suffix LMAR8A-9S. This was tech supports reply. He LED SMALL LIGHT UNDER HEADLIGHT Yes state law usually doesn't allow for anything other then white or yellow up front. ryan4130 is correct though the headlight (cyclops3800) completely drowns out the blue. LED RECOMMENDATIONS? I recently installed the Cyclops LED headlight, & was wondering if anyone has found good LED replacements for the running lights. DYNOJET POWERVISION 3 Conclusion: The Ftecu software is unbelievably lacking compared to the Power Vision 3 (shown below). The only edge that FTecu has is the availability of plug-n-play maps from named vendors. The PV3 is too new yet and has a limited base tune database. This bike is fairly low compression and has a mild tune so pinging shouldn't be an issue on a stock bike. How do you figure that 11.5 to 1 is "fairly low compression". Because it is.
